16 May Why You Should Visit Gilbert Farmers Market
Thier mission is to promote local sustainability, healthy eating and green living practices among the Town of Gilbert and it’s surrounding areas. As well as educating the public about local food by providing them the opportunity to personally meet with the Farmers & other vendors to learn where their food comes from and how it’s grown & produced. The public are also able to communicate with multiple Charity and Rescue Booths that will help the community gain the knowledge about other activities going on around town.
Gilbert Farmers Market (GFM) is located in Downtown Gilbert just West of the iconic Water Tower and is open every Saturday. With over 60 vendors during the summer season and reaching close to 100 vendors in the fall/spring, the GFM offers a wide variety of locally grown produce from nearby farms as well as many local Arizona Food Producers.
The GFM features some amazing Food Trucks and local eats along with games and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy!
The GFM is a year-round market, open ever Saturday with the exception of these dates for 2017:
Gilbert Days Parade (November 18th)
Christmas/New Year Holidays (December 30th)
Location and Hours:
Where? GFM is located in the Park and Ride just West of the iconic Water Tower in Downtown Gilbert.
When? Saturdays from 8 AM to 12 PM during fall/spring season (usually October through March)
Saturdays from 7 AM to 11 AM during summer season (usually April through September)
