Grubstak is locally owned and operated by Colton Grubb, a third-generation Arizona businessman and grandson of Valley automotive icon Lou Grubb. The family tradition of commitment to integrity, customer service and community continues with Colton and Grubstak.
In 1945, with $27 dollars in his pocket and a dream to make a life if Arizona, Lou Grubb boarded a train from Long Island and never looked back. Through hard work and dedication, he built one of the most recognizable and trusted business in Phoenix with Lou Grubb Chevrolet. As part of his legacy, Lou conceived Take 5, a popular five-minute long radio series focused on sharing stories, philosophies and beliefs rather than selling cars. Take 5 resonated with Valley residents and endeared Lou to the community. His love for his work and his passion customers lives on through Colton.

Our first location is in Gilbert’s Heritage Market, part of the beautifully historic Downtown Gilbert community and in the shadow of the iconic Gilbert Water Tower. As the heart of Gilbert’s family-friendly entertainment district, the area serves as a perfect spot for Grubstak to engage with locals and bring people together with food options to satisfy everyone.
