About Us

Grubstak is a one-of-a-kind food concept founded in Gilbert, Arizona that believes unique food creations stimulate conversations!  Using fresh, familiar (but sometimes surprising!) ingredients, Grubstak truly stacks on the flavor in their Signature Staks, Salads and more!

The Grubb in Grubstak

Grubstak is locally owned and operated by Colton Grubb, a third-generation Arizona businessman and grandson of Valley automotive icon Lou Grubb. The family tradition of commitment to integrity, customer service and community continues with Colton and Grubstak.

In 1945, with $27 dollars in his pocket and a dream to make a life if Arizona, Lou Grubb boarded a train from Long Island and never looked back. Through hard work and dedication, he built one of the most recognizable and trusted business in Phoenix with Lou Grubb Chevrolet. As part of his legacy, Lou conceived Take 5, a popular five-minute long radio series focused on sharing stories, philosophies and beliefs rather than selling cars. Take 5 resonated with Valley residents and endeared Lou to the community. His love for his work and his passion customers lives on through Colton.

Our Community

Grubstak is proud to be in the East Valley and a supporter of the Chandler-Gilbert community.  Grubstak is rooted in family values and aims to be a place everyone can enjoy – beliefs that embody the East Valley way of life.

Our first location is in Gilbert’s Heritage Market, part of the beautifully historic Downtown Gilbert community and in the shadow of the iconic Gilbert Water Tower. As the heart of Gilbert’s family-friendly entertainment district, the area serves as a perfect spot for Grubstak to engage with locals and bring people together with food options to satisfy everyone. Plus, we proudly serve local craft beers on tap!

We regularly partner with other local businesses to bring you the best of what Arizona’s entrepreneurs have to offer and support local non-profits. Just some of these partnerships include:

We look forward to opening our 2nd location COMING SOON to Chandler and continuing to serve East Valley residents and visitors.
